With the advent of crude oil exploration and consequently, exportation, commodity export went beyond cocoa, groundnuts, and rubber to products like cassava and cassava pellets, cashew (shelled and unshelled) nuts, sorghum, charcoal, wheat etc. These are required all over the world in large quantities in various sectors of the developing world. Our local industries are also not left out as most of these produce serve as raw materials for their finished goods. However, getting adequate value for financial resources expended in the course of sourcing for raw materials is a major challenge of most manufacturing industries today.
